An exciting and challenging opportunity for an Assistant/Associate Professor position is available at the College of Engineering http://www.squ.edu.om/eng/ , Sultan Qaboos University in Mechatronics Engineering.
The Sultan Qaboos University has established recently an undergraduate degree program in Mechatronics Engineering, run jointly by the Mechanical & Industrial Engineering Department and Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. The College is seeking qualified applicants in Mechatronics Engineering or in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering but closely related to Mechatronics discipline.
Experience is highly desirable in the modeling, design and implementation of Mechatronics systems, sensors and instrumentation, MEMS, or related areas. Duties include, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, supervising students’ projects and undertaking active research in Mechatronics engineering.
Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree and have relevant experience, potential or proven ability for excellence in teaching, and excellent communication skills. The salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience.
